Gift Clubs

Gift Clubs enable us to thank and recognise donors who have shown particular commitment in their giving.

We hope that you will decide to show your support of your University by joining one of our Gift Clubs. By doing so, you will be playing a crucial part in shaping the future of the University, and of the next generation of Sheffield students.

The Silver Arrows Circle
Recognising regular commitment

This gift club is designed to recognise alumni and friends who show their support for the University by making a regular monthly, quarterly or annual donation through standing order, or payroll giving.

The Silver Arrows Circle is named after the arrows which appear in the University´s crest. They signify not only the long tradition of steel and silver-making in Sheffield, but they also emphasise the important relationship between the University, the city, and its people.

As a member of the Silver Arrows Circle you will:

  • Receive the University's annual donor newsletter
  • Have your name recorded in the Silver Arrows Circle section of our annual donor honour roll
  • Receive an invitation to a special annual donor event
  • Receive priority invitations to alumni and donor events

The Firth Circle
Leading the way

This gift club is designed to recognise the support of alumni and friends who are able to give £1,000 or more (or equivalent through instalments) within a given fiscal year.

Members will be invited to (re)join the Circle on an annual basis, unless you choose to give through a regular standing order, in which case your membership will be automatic every year.

As a member of the Firth Circle you will:

  • Receive an invitation to a special annual Firth Circle event
  • Have your name recorded in the Firth Circle section of our annual donor honour roll
  • Receive an invitation to a special annual donor event

Sheffield Pioneers
Young alumni giving back

The Sheffield Pioneers recognises the special generosity of our younger alumni donors (aged under 30).

The Sheffield Pioneers are so named because they are truly breaking new ground and "going the extra mile" to help the students who come after them, when they themselves have only recently graduated.

Members will be (re)invited to join the Sheffield Pioneers every year until they reach the age of 30.

As a member of the Sheffield Pioneers you will:

  • Receive the University’s annual donor newsletter so you can see how your donation is making a difference to current students
  • Have your name recorded in the Sheffield Pioneers section of our annual donor honour roll
  • Receive priority invitations to selected alumni events
